Dr. Laura E. Harrington

Dr. Laura Harrington grew up in Cazenovia, New York, and is the youngest of four children. Her father was a professor of electrical engineering at Syracuse University. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology at Hartwick College. She had very little knowledge of chiropractic until she turned 21 years old. Having suffered from debilitating headaches and migraines for 11 years, she had her first chiropractic adjustment. Within three weeks, her headaches stopped. Through regular chiropractic care and lifestyle improvements, she remains headache- and migraine-free. She hopes to give her clients the same opportunity to maintain a healthier life.

After learning more about chiropractic, Dr. Harrington began her studies at New York Chiropractic College. She has over 20 years of chiropractic experience. She established her practice in 1999 in the village of Liverpool, New York. She chose to live in Liverpool due to its village character and recreational activities. She has the joy of being a mother to twin boys, Victor and Alexander.

Dr. Harrington believes in keeping fit and active. She received her Karate Black Belt in 2006. She regularly exercises and runs in many of the local races including the Syracuse Mountain Goat Run, Syracuse Iron Girl, and Finger Lakes Mud Run. She now participates in fun runs with her boys.

Dr. Harrington has attended 100’s of postgraduate seminars, striving for excellence. She is a Distinguished Fellow of Chiropractic BioPhysics (AKA Chiropractic Biomechanics of Posture – CBP). This technique focuses on restoring normal posture and spinal alignment through specific adjustments, exercises, and corrective traction. She is the only chiropractor in the Syracuse area who is certified in this technique.

Dr. Harrington is Webster certified in adjusting pregnant women and children. She is certified in Flexion-Distraction Technique, Applied Kinesiology, and Receptor-Tonus Method (a.k.a. Nimmo Technique for myofascial trigger points). She completed postgraduate courses in whiplash case management, activator methods, Thompson Technique, craniopathy, back pain and golf, nutrition, and natural medicine. She is studying to become a certified Functional Medicine Practitioner.
